- developing, supporting and enabling a wide range of sporting, recreational, cultural, social, educational and tourism opportunities which enhance the quality of life, promote healthy, active lifestyles for people in the Borough and, by stimulating attractions for visitors and by helping to create a positive business environment, bring jobs and investment to the local economy
- managing Colchester’s rich and diverse landscapes, parks and green spaces and promote policies and activities that enhance and protect Colchester’s built and natural features, surrounding countryside and unique heritage.
Colchester’s ‘Cultural Strategy’ is a key strand of the Community Strategy developed by the Local Strategic Partnership Colchester 2020. The Cultural Strategy shows how these ambitions can be achieved.
